Is there even a cooking oil Brand in Nepal?
Well, the answer is yes. Nepal does have its own cooking oil brands but sadly not a lot of people know about them. This is likely because of the lack of exposure when compared to international brands.
With the exception of a few, not a lot of us know much about oil brands. We have a cooking oil brand that we use a lot at home and we get used to that brand. Besides that brand, we rarely know other brands with the exception of those that we see in ads often.
Side Note* We will be excluding locally produced Mustard oil from this list as although it is popular and widely used, it has no specific brand name.

Before We Go,
Sadly besides a few well-known brands, not a lot of Nepali cooking oil brands are popular. Although we do have some all-time favorites like Meizan and Dhara, we barely know the rest of the brands like Aarati and Triveni. These are our own oil companies with rather good products. Additionally, since they are made from local materials and there is no shipping cost, they are cheaper as well.
