- Mutton: 400 Grams (cut into small pieces)
- Turmeric: 1 Teaspoon
- Cumin: 1 Teaspoon
- Salt: 2 Teaspoon
- Pepper (मरिच): 1 Teaspoon

- Oil: 20 Milileters
- Lemon Juice: 10 Milileter
- Lemon: for Garnish
Method of Making a Mutton roast over an Open Fire
Marinate and roast the mutton over an open fire, that is all that you need to do. You can pre-cook the mutton in a pressure cooker to make it easier to roast but that is not a compulsion.
Total Time: 45 minutes
Step 1: Marinate
– Mix in the spices
– Pur some Oil in the spices
– Mix them well
– Put in the mutton
– Mix well
– Let the mutton marinate for 20 Minutes
Step 2: Roast in an Open Fire
– Start an open fire
– Skew the mutton in a Skewer
– Slowly roast the mutton over the fire
Step 3: Garnish and Serve
– Take the Mutton out from the fire
– Squeeze the lemon juice on top
– Garnish with Lemon and Serve
Side Note* While this is the most direct way of making a Mutton Roast over an open fire, you can pre-cook the mutton to reduce its cooking time and retain make it more tender. Just pressure cook the mutton for 2 to 3 whistles before cutting them into small pieces and you are good to go.
