Ingredients
- Mutton: 400 Grams
- Mustard Oil: 50 Milileter
- Chilly Flakes: 2 Teaspoon
- Salt: 2 teaspoon
- Cumin Powder: 2 Teaspoon
- Coariander leaves: for garnish
Method to Cook
To make mutton steak in a simple way, all you need to do is heat up some oil, rub some spices into the meat and fry it well on both sides. Do remember that the meat piece should be at least around 0.5 cm thick and be of a good size. If the meat is too thin or small, then it will shrink when heated.
Total Time: 30 minutes
Step 1: Massage the Spices
– Cut the mutton into a thick piece
– Sprinkle the spice into each side of the meat
– Massage gently on each side
Step 2: Shallow fry
– Heat up some Oil in a Frying Pan
– Put in the mutton and shallow fry on one side for 15 minutes

Ingredients
- Mutton: 400 Grams
- Garlic: 20 Grams (Finely Chopped)
- Onion: 20 Grams (Finely Chopped)
- Mustard Oil: 80 Milileter
- Soya Sauce: 4 Teaspoons
- Meat Masala/ Garam Masala: 2 Teaspoon
- Chilly Flakes: 2 Teaspoon
- Salt: 2 teaspoon
- Cumin Powder: 2 Teaspoon
- Coariander leaves: 10 Grams
Method
To make mutton steak by using this method, you will need to marinate the meat in a mix of spices with a bit of oil beforehand. Along with this, while making the Mutton Steak itself you will need a few more ingredients to enhance the flavor as well.
Total Time: 6 hours and 35 minutes
Step 1: Marinate the Meat
– Cut the mutton into a thick piece
– Sprinkle the spice into each side of the meat
– Mix in Garam Masala/Meat Masala, Salt, Cumin, and Chilly
– Massage the spices well along with some soy sauce
– Let it rest for 6 hours
Step 2: Shallow fry with Spices
– Heat up some Oil in a Frying Pan
– Fry some chopped garlic and onions for 5 minutes
– Put in the mutton
– Cover the pan with the lid and let it cook for 15 minutes
– when the steak is cooked to the desired wellness flip the mutton
– cook on the other side as well

– Place the mutton steak on a place
– Surround it with the juices from cooking
– Garnish with coriander leaves and serve
Bonus
There are three major degrees of cooked steak – rare, medium, and well done.
- Rare mutton Steak is cooked for a very short time and the center of this steak will be pinkish in color
- Medium Mutton Steak is cooked for an average time and the center is grey brownish in color with pinkish hue
- Well done steak has a charred outside and has a complete grey-brownish center
