You stand at the first ‘crossroads after your SEE board exam. What will you do next? This question will haunt you in every important stage of life. It is the most crucial stage as your whole career is dependent on your single decision. There is one common question after we complete our SEE?? Science, Commerce or Arts? This is one of the blunders, I did after SEE which wasted my considerable time and energy. Analyze wisely about the factors that will motivate you throughout the course before deciding on choosing a wrong stream is like being in a bad relationship.
3. Be open to discussions and suggestions:
Consider taking advice from a reliable person around you. Parents and instructors are amongst the ones skilled folks that can without difficulty decide your internal strengths and interests’. Unknowingly both of them your biggest influence and your go-to people. Therefore consider their suggestion while choosing the right. Be careful of not getting imposed entirely by their opinion and make choice based on your inner strength as ultimately you know yourself the best.
4. Consider a good counselor
You can attain some career guidance seminars and educational fairs where the experts can assist in discovering your potential and aptitude and accordingly suggest the stream which fits your capability. You can also consider taking a personal appointment with a counselor to have one on one interaction and take some personalized test to find out your interest. However, do not end up over discussing it as too much discussion sometimes takes away the clarity and leaves you more confused.
5. Research on stream in detail:
It is always wise to know in detail what you are putting your precious two years of life into. Introspect about the available stream and find out one that matches your capability. Understand subjects, difficulty level career options, and prospects of a particular stream you are choosing. Analyze what prospects it offers for your higher studies and if it matches your life goal.
