High school students Taki and Mitsuha live completely different lives in different cities. But one day their body gets swapped. Taki wakes up in Mitsuha’s body and Mitsuha in Taki. Then, they start to know each other in the process of body swapping. They start yearning for one another.

Haruki who did not feel sympathy for Sakura when knowing about her illness later on is scared of losing her and scared to accept his feelings for Sakura. Sakura was meant to die but how she dies is really a twist in the story. This anime is really so saddening making our hearts break.

It is a story about Hotaru who gets lost in an enchanted forest and is rescued by a yokai named Gin. This is the one among all the anime movies, makes viewers feel nostalgic with its countryside scenario, evergreen forest, calm music, and lovely soft-hearted characters. This movie is about the blossoming love between a spirit and a human with a sad heartbreaking end.
