 Read Books

Now I understand that reading a book is not everyone’s cup of tea but give me a listen. All of us have some forms of interest and hobby, well most of us anyway and in this time where there is literally nothing to do, why not read a book. There are tons of books, and there is a book for everyone, be it books of information, stories of just random jokes for those who have no interest in anything, and who knows, even they might develop an interest in reading from the joke books. Reading a book to kill boredom has never been a bad idea. Well at least as long as you are interested in that book.

Binge Watch Series

5 Ways to Manage Boredom in Quarantine

By now a lot of you must have binged your favorite series and have rewatched them over and over again and it is getting very boring right? So why not start a new series rather than re-watching old ones? There are long series in each genre, be it “The Vampire Diaries” and “Teen Wolf” for edgy teens or “Dexter” and “The Mentalist” for those who want crime thrills or “The supernatural” and “The secret Cleanser” for those into fantasy. Let’s not forget the comedies “The Big Bang Theory”, “Two and a half men” and “How I met your mother”. Why not give them a binge-watch?

Watch an Anime

I understand that anime culture is not the best of the culture but hey there are some pretty good anime’s out there. Naruto and One piece are the classics but apart from them, there is anime for each one of you as well. From the super sad “Anohana” and “Shigatsu wa kimi no uso” to random gag anime “Nichijou” and “One punch man”, from cute and lovely “Gakuen Babysitters” to dark “Another” there is one for each. Why not give it a try? It is better than being bored and you might find a new favorite.

 Learn to Draw

5 Ways to Manage Boredom in Quarantine

Well with the things going slow, boring and stores running out of supplies, there is one set of things that has not been used in this entirety of Covid, and that is copy, pens/ pencils and erasers. Honestly, I don’t see the need for them in any way besides doodling anyways. That is where you can use them. Draw some doodles to kill time, design your doodle character and if the boredom gets too much, make a short comic with them and kill that boredom. You can also learn to draw seriously, and attempt to make some portraits as well.

 Try Writing

Just like with the drawing, this is also the thing that can kill a lot of time and keep you entertained as well as helping your writing. Now let’s not hide it but we all have an imaginary world in our mind where we go to find peace. Why not write it down so that you won’t have to rethink it every time? Or you can just write some rhymes and try to rap as well. Or you can just rant out in how bored you feel and later laugh at what you wrote. It worked for me, give it a try.
