10 Reasons Why Nepalese Students Go Abroad
“Study Abroad is the single most effective way of changing the way we view the world.”
Recent trending in Nepal is that Nepalese students are more attracted to studying in foreign countries for their higher education and earning income while doing 20-25 hours of part-time work. As such a large number of Nepalese students are going abroad such as the USA, Australia, Canada, Japan, Europe, etc. for higher education every year. Despite the reality that they need to face financial and other obstacles going there, Nepalese students are always ready to leave Nepal for a secure future.
10 Reason Super-Convincing Reasons:
1. Quality Education :
We have to accept the fact that education in Nepal is not as qualitative as in foreign countries. The syllabus is outdated and follows the traditional way of study. No offense but the lecturers and the professors teaching in big colleges and universities are quite old. They are not familiar with the modern ways of teaching and the modern subjects that are required by the students to keep them up to date with the world.
2. Valid Certificate :
According to the syllabus of our government university( Tribhuvan University) content is not updated than the abroad university which provides us a variety of courses structure in every faculty and did not help to expand our practical knowledge rather than focus on theoretical knowledge. The formal university passed senior Nepalese students share their thought and feeling is that our certificate would not be more helped than the foreign certificate. The Indian certificates have more merit than ours. So to obtain a valid and more valuable certificate students go abroad. Certificates and degrees are the limitation to meet the demand for the highest-paying employment.
3. Job/Earning while studying :
In Nepal, there’s not much chance for Nepalese students to earn while studying. Not everyone has the good financial condition to keep on studying till they complete their degree. While in foreign the scope and the variety of jobs to do are more. Also, the foreign currency has more value when converted into Nepalese currency. The students can earn their living, pay for their education in foreign and even support their family financially.
4. Scholarship opportunities :
The developed countries are giving more opportunities for scholarships to Nepalese students than the Nepalese government itself. The scholarship they provide especially in Norway and Germany provides free education and if we are able to learn their native language they also paid some amount of money but the expenses are higher than our country. Obviously, students will be attracted towards abroad education.
5. Master the art of communication :
The art of communication is the development of effective skills and finding a style of communication that suits the foreign culture and improved our communication skill of Nepalese students to their native people and also help us to communicate with them and do our daily activity according to their culture, working environment and as well as in the study. Language barrier or not, it can be a difficulty. In an increasingly interconnected world, the importance of understanding totally different cultures and cross-cultural communication will be skyrocketing.
6. Global Awareness :
Nepalese Students can learn so much about another culture by watching National Geographic documentaries and as well as by reading books, social media, and YouTube videos. If you really want to flourish in life, learning how to view things from another’s perspective is vitally important. In case Nepalese students haven’t noticed, we’re living in a globalized world. We share cultural icons with people in Japan, we trade with people in Bangladesh, we face political challenges across continents mutual communication between Millennium Challenge Corporation(MCC) and Nepal Government.
7. Settle in abroad :
It is a hard fact that the lifestyle in Nepal is not so quality and worthy. Nepalese students remain unemployed and the salary or wages they get from their workplace did not help their families to lived standard life. The facilities required even for a basic living are hard to earn. Only those who can pay can have all the requirements at home. Everybody wants to live a luxurious and comfortable life. The facilities that we can gain in foreign though minimal is much higher in comparison to Nepal. So to settle themselves permanently or for a long time, they study abroad and lived a very luxurious life with the maximum facility.
8. Better Employment :
In the context of Nepalese skilled or unskilled people did not get paid according to the qualification and the government is not implementing the rule to pay according to the qualification. Nepalese students think that it is better to go abroad which gives a higher salary or wages. As said earlier the degrees one receives are the ones that are going to sell you in the market of employment. So obviously if you have a tag of receiving the degree from foreign, especially from the developed countries you’ll get more chance for the high paid jobs.
9. Practical education :
Nepalese students get more opportunities practically and developed their skills for the future. Abroad study is more focused on training their fresher and preparing them for life. The education they get there is applicable in our real day-to-day work and life. The teachings we get here have limited or no use in practicality.
10. Parents Wealth :
In this recent time, Nepalese students helps their families financially worked on abroad part-time while doing the study. When there’s an abundance of wealth which one doesn’t know how and where to spend. They keep on looking for ways and places to spend them. What better way than abroad study.
