Parbat district, with Kusma as its district headquarters covers an area of 494 km square. It is the fourth-smallest district of Nepal yet rich with natural and cultural sources. Parbat district is a beautiful district with diverse geographical features. It extends from the lowest 285 meters to the highest about 3953 meters. Parbat district is rich in both adventurous and historical aspects.

Some tourism attractions are Asia’s deepest bunjy jumping, Shaligram Sila, and canoeing. Some spiritual attraction includes Deurali, Hampal, and Khopra trek.

1. Asia’s deepest bunjy jumping

Parbat district added a new dimension to adventure lovers and to attract both national and international tourists. The heart-pounding jump from Asia’s deepest bridge is a memorable activity to experience. The beauty of Kaligandaki River and a dazzling view of white peaks peeking at us makes this more attractive. Bunjy jump in the air round activity but some months are not suitable because of the climate.

2. Cable car

Parbat has introduced the cable car transpiration connecting the Panchanse. Panchase is a famous touristic destination and religious site too which is located at the tri-junction of Parbat, Kaski, and Syangja district. This cable car will be linked up to Panchase from Ghantichhina.

Panchase is located at an altitude of about 2,517 meters. The length of the cable car is 550 meters with a carrying capacity is 8 people (600 kg). As you are in the cable car, you can experience the depth of Kaligandaki River. You can reach the cable car station in 10-15 minutes of walk from Kushma-Gandhi Bridge.

3. Jaljala Kalanjar Hill

The Jaljala area of Kalangar hill is spread over five lakes and six shall as of Jaljala village municipality of Parbat district. From the top, you can see a mesmerizing view of mountain peaks like Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, Gurja, Machapuchhre, Manalsu, and other small peaks. In total, you can see about 16 different panoramic views of peaks from here. You call also see many districts like Parbat, baglung, Myagdi, Kaski, Syangja, Gulmi, Palpa, Gorkha, and Lamjung. Jaljala is rich in historical, religious, and biological diversity located near Annapurna Conservation Area. According to the study, we can find 38 species of orchids and nine species of rhododendron. The forest is rich in valuable herbs and wild animals too.

Jaljala is the hill is situated at an altitude of about 3000 meters above sea level. This hill will fill with the beauty of snow and winter and greenery at monsoon till the end of spring. The Jaljala region of Kalangar Hill is mentioned in the scripts of Ramayana. In that script, it is mentioned that Hanuman took herbs from this area and used it for a medical purpose.

4. Khopra Ridge Community Trek

Khopra trek is a newly opened trek and it is a sustainable community lodge-based trek. This trek takes you away from the busy trial of Annapurna and many treks do not know about this trek. This trek offers a splendid view of Mt. Dhaulagiri ranges, South Annapurna, Nilgiri, and many small peaks. As you reach further, you can see the sacred lake at the foot of South Annapurna peak called Khayer Lake.

This lake is sacred for both Hindu and Buddhist religions. People have believed that, if they pray in July to August then their wish will be fulfilled. From March to April, there is another major festival in Khayer Lake. People use to come here for worship and sacrifice the yaks here.,

5. Canyoning

Parbat has introduced the water canyoning sport at the end of 2017 to attract adventure loves. This water canyoning has been started at Mahabir River of Durlung in Parbat district.

The location of this canyoning is about seven kilometers from Kushma Bazaar. From Kushma it takes about a 30-minute drive and from Pokhara, it takes about two and a half hours to reach Durlung’s waterfall.
