5. Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness
Release Date: May 06, 2022
The debut of Marvel’s Disney+ series Wanda Vision set the bar high for forthcoming series while simultaneously leaving us ecstatic for the possibility of the multiverse in all its madness.
While many of us believed Doctor Strange would have a cameo in the series, we were left baffled and wanting more when we caught a glimpse of Wanda being able to astral project herself while reading the Darkhold. Rumors suggest the Scarlet Witch will take on the role of friend-turned-enemy in this film, causing Doctor Strange to unleash an unspeakable evil into the world. Others believe the film will follow closer to the comics, in which Baron Mordo is Strange’s greatest enemy. If only we had the Time Stone to gain a little more insight.
4. Thor: Love and Thunder
Release Date: July 8, 2022
The Thor movies have always found themselves on the more comical side of the MCU. It’s one of the things we absolutely love about the films and can’t wait to see more of them. While not a whole lot about the film has been revealed, director Taika Waititi has stated that they would adopt elements from the Mighty Thor Comics, in which Jane Foster takes on the mantle of Thor while simultaneously battling cancer. If Marvel is going the comic route with this one, we could be in for one hell of a ride.
3. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever
Release Date: Nov 11, 2022
Director Ryan Coogler had planned for “Black Panther 2” to feature the return of Chadwick Boseman in the lead role, but after the actor’s surprising death in the summer of 2020, Coogler set about rewriting the screenplay. Boseman is not being replaced in the sequel, for which plot details are firmly under wraps. But the entire main cast from Coogler’s groundbreaking 2018 film is due to return in the aptly named “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” while Dominique Thorne will make her MCU debut as Riri Williams aka Ironheart, an inventor who creates a suit of armor to rival Tony Stark’s Iron Man.
2. The Marvels
Release Date: Feb 17, 2023
What We Know So Far: Captain Marvel 2, officially titled The Marvels, will be set in the present day, but directors Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are not returning behind the camera. Marvel subsequently enlisted Nia DaCosta, director of the Candyman remake, to take the helm. Iman Vellani, who will play Ms. Marvel in her own Disney+ series, will have a supporting role in the film while Teyonah Parris will reprise her role as the adult, Monica Rambeau, first debuting in the Disney+ series WandaVision. The film’s villain will be played by Zawe Ashton. The film is rumored to be a continuation of the Ms.Marvel series, so it will be interesting to see how that Disney+ series sets things up.
1. Guardians Of Galaxy Vol. 3
Release Date: May 5, 2023
Our favorite bunch of A-holes is back, but they are forever changed after Thanos’s snap. Mantis and Nebula are now members of the group, while the Gamora they’ve known, and in Quill’s case loved, is gone. Instead, a Gamora from the past is now traveling with them, and it will certainly make things interesting for the ravagers. Oh, and a new foe named Adam Warlock is here to ruin their lives. Just another casual day in space for the GOTG.
Can’t Wait for These Movies
Marvel gave us over a decade’s worth of incredible films during the first three phases, which came to be called the Infinity Saga.
While most Marvel movies based on a particular superhero or central character get huge attention, the Avengers film franchise is different as it includes all your favorite heroes pitted against a superior villain. The franchise has been commercially successful and has generally received positive reviews. It has inspired other film and television studios to attempt to create similar shared universes with comic book character adaptations. The MCU has also inspired several themed attractions, an art exhibit, two television specials, guidebooks for each film, multiple tie-in video games, and commercials. I hope you enjoyed reading our article. Keep supporting us, keep loving us, everyone. Thank You for your Love and support.
