Ingredients for Samosa

  • All-purpose flour ( Maida) -200 gm
  • Carom seeds(Jwano)-1/2 tsp
  • Salt-1/2 tsp
  • Ghee: 4-5 tbsp
  • Potato(boiled)-6 pcs (500 gms approx)
  • Boiled peas-50 gm
  • roasted peanuts 150 gm
  • Green chili (chopped)-3 to 4
  • Ginger (grated)-2 inch
  • Dry mango powder(amchur)-1/2 tsp
  • Red chili powder-1/3 tsp
  • Roasted cumin / coriander -2  tsp
  • Garam masala powder-1/2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking oil

Step 1: Dough get ready

First, the Dough needs to be prepared with Maida Flour mixed with Jwano and ghee. Add some water and mix the dough step-by-step until it gets quite hard and strong.
After the dough is prepared, cover and leave it off until the filling ingredient is ready.

Step 2: Fry The Potatoes

Melt some ghee in a frying pan. Add some cumin, coriander seeds, and small cut Ginger pieces and fry them.
Now, put the boiled potatoes cut into small pieces and mix them with the ingredients in the pan

Step 3: Spice The Fillings

Now add other ingredients to add the flavor to your filling. You can add peanuts and peas.
After it cooks a little you can now add the spices chili salt, red chili.
Now mix it up you can mash the potatoes as it cooks.

Get ready to begin the Samosa preparation process.
Take a ball of Dough and start making the flat shape. It should be oval in shape.

Step 5: Learn the Cone Shape

Now cut it in the middle to make two halves.
It’s time to make the samosa cone shape.
Take some water and apply it around the corners of the Dough. Make a Cone shape by folding one side of it. And Stick the other part to make a cone.

Step 6: Folding the Dough

Try to stick it quite tightly so that the filling wouldn’t spill out later.
Now take the filling and fill it in the cone and bend a shape on one side and cover the Samosa with the help of the water.

Step 7: In goes the Cone

Heat oil in low heat and place the samosa shape that you have made.

Step 8: Out comes the Samosa

Fry it for about 10-12 minutes until it turns Golden Brown. Take notice to make it  for each side of the Samosa. 

Step 9: Repeat if you want more
