Manang is the beautiful hidden valley located in the Gandaki Zone with an altitude of 3,519 meters. Manang is situated in a broad valley of Marshyangdi river to the east, Thorong La Pass in the west, and Chulu East Peak to the north. 1. Annapurna Circuit Trek
Thorong La Pass is the highest point of this trek with an altitude of 5,416 meters. This pass lies in between Manang and Mustang. This trek was first opened in 1977 and this was one of the most popular trekking in Nepal. The total length of this trek is around 160 to 230 km depending upon where transpiration is used and where you are ending your trek. According to officials, this trekking is famous for both domestic and international tourists. Annapurna Circuit trek traverses two several river valleys and surrounds the Annapurna massif. As you reach to pass the mountains surround you which makes your trekking mind-blowing. During the Annapurna Circuit trek, you will witness Mt. Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machapuchhre, Gangapurna, and Tilicho Peak.
2. Tilicho Lake
This beautiful alpine lake is at a height of 4919 meters above sea level. Tilicho Lake is the extension or side trip while doing Annapurna Circuit Trek. The trek starting point of Tilicho Lake is Khangsar. The trek to Tilicho Lake welcomes you with dazzling peaks like the Annapurna range, Manalsu, and Gangapurna. Trek to Tilicho Lake is really adventurous and tough but rewarding too.
3. Nar Phu Valley Trek
Nar and Phu are two different high altitude villages sitting in the Valley of Nar River. Nar Phu trek is a newly introduced trial with a less crowded environment. As you trek to Nar Phu you will see the unique landscape and old village. This remote trekking takes you to the ancient gompas, ancient stone houses, and unchanged culture and tradition of local peoples. As you enter the village it seems like you are transported to a place where the time is frozen. The language that is spoken in both villages in the Tibetan language.
4. Milarepa Cave
Milarepa Cave is a side trek of Annapurna Circuit Treks and it is unknown to many visitors. This cave is located at an altitude of 4,250 meters above sea level. This cave is completely isolated but the landscape and topography along the way are mesmerizing. It takes about two hours of a hike from Baraka village. The cave is about ten feet deep.
5. Gangapurna Lake
Gangapurna is a beautiful glacial lake located in the Manang at Annapurna Circuit Trek. This lake is located at a height of 3.540 meters. This glacial lake is formed by melting from Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Gangapurna and Glacier Dome.
6. Braga Village
Braga Village is a small settlement yet beautiful, and it takes about 45 minutes from Manang. You can see the oldest monasteries in this region in Braga village. Inside this monastery, there are hundreds of old statues and the view from the monastery is mesmerizing. If you want to enter the monk then October is not a suitable time for you. Because monk will visit Kathmandu for teaching the key will be with visitors. So it takes hours to find the key to the monastery.
