Dang district is sitting in Inner Terai of Lumbini Province in Midwestern Nepal. This district covers an area of 2,955 km with the district headquarter Ghorahi. Dang is Nepal’s largest valley and three times bigger than Kathmandu. This district is rich in ancient temples and many other historical monuments. How to Reach There?
There are two ways to reach Dang, by road or by air.
Kathmandu to Dang Bus leaves from Gongabu Bus Park at 5:00 PM. The distance from Kathmandu to Dang is about 450 kilometres and may take 10 hours. You will go through the Mahendra highway route and the price is about Rs. 1200 to 1500 for one way. The road condition from Kathmandu Muglin will be slow as the road is bumpy. As you cross the Muglin the road is smooth.
Dang Airport, also called Tarigaun airport is the only airport that is giving facility to the western region of Sang Deukhuri. It is located in Tulsipur, 2 kilometres south of the town, and 23 kilometres west of Ghorahi.

This lake occupies around 12 hectares of land and it is about 6 feet deep.

This lake also carries the great historical significance because its origin is from Sarayu River. According to locals, in Treta Yuga, Lord Sita had penance here to get when Ram visited the place. People also come here to spend their holiday on a picnic.
